Worktops

From affordable laminates to premium quartz and granite - we'll guide you through the options and help you choose the right worktop surface for your kitchen and your budget.

There are many different types of worktops available and we can guide you through the choice of surface for your new kitchen. We have a wide selection at our kitchen showroom in Milton Keynes.

Budget plays an important part in any kitchen project - quartz, granite and solid surface worktops are comparable in cost at the high end, while laminates are much more affordable. This decision can have a major impact on the overall cost of your kitchen project. It's often the case that the best worktop for your kitchen may not be decided until the initial design is complete, as many factors influence the choice.

Worktop Options We Recommend

Laminate

A durable, affordable worktop that's easy to clean. Available in a wide variety of colours, textures and finishes. We supply laminate worktops from Schuller, Duropal and Bushboard.

Quartz

A hardwearing, low-maintenance engineered stone worktop. Made from approximately 90% ground quartz combined with resins and pigments. Unlike granite, quartz does not require sealing as it is non-porous.

Solid Surface (Corian)

A man-made material composed of marble dust, bauxite and acrylic resin. Seamless joins and integrated sinks are possible, and surface scratches can be sanded out.

Granite

A natural stone that adds a unique, organic quality to any kitchen. Every slab is different. Incredibly hard and heat resistant, though it does require periodic sealing.

Designer Tip

Don't feel you need to decide on your worktop material at the very start. It's often best to keep an open mind until the initial design is complete, as many factors - sink style, cabinet layout, edge detailing - can influence the best choice.
